My background spans independent consulting and more than a decade inside regulated, high-consequence environments, where clarity, consistency, and trust directly affect outcomes. I use AI to help teams explore scenarios, surface patterns, and pressure-test assumptions, while keeping accountability firmly human. Alongside my consulting work, I spent over a decade within an automotive OEM supplier environment, operating across design, development, and operations. That experience sharpened my ability to navigate competing incentives, regulatory pressure, and aggressive timelines while maintaining alignment and execution quality. I also run The Truth Quarry, an independent brand consultancy grounded in the idea that strong brands are built through discipline, not decoration. That perspective informs my work, but my value is in helping organizations think clearly, align effectively, and act with intent. While with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, Karl was given the responsibility of overseeing the audits of the most challenging clients in the office. He was charged with completing the independent audits of a multi-million dollar government contractor, mortgage broker, auto dealer as well as several other clients in various industries. Karl joined the Long Island Office of Robbins, Greene, Horowitz, Lester & Levitan in 1992. Not only responsible for financial audits, Karl was also responsible for tax reporting for several public, private and foreign held corporations and was involved several business valuation engagements for buy-out purposes. In 1994 Karl joined another accounting firm as Partner and was Partner-In-Charge of financial audits of for-profit entities, business valuations and tax compliance. In 1998 Karl joined Matthew J. Covati, CPA and formed Premiere Business Appraisals, Inc. a firm specializing in the preparation of business valuations for buy-out, estate/gift planning, divorce and merger purposes. Karl has completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Business Valuation Certificate of Educational Achievement Program and The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts’ Business Valuations: Fundamentals, Techniques & Theory Coursework. Together these two programs encompass over 100 hours of training in the techniques and theory of business valuations.
