Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I come from an extremely diverse background and have learned how to connect with people from all corners of the world, something I genuinely enjoy doing. I am a big believer in diversity. My mother is from North Carolina, and my father is Palestinian and Lebanese. Straddling these two cultures my entire life has been a challenge at times – I've spent evenings in Southern Baptist chapels for weddings, and I've also spent a large part of my life doing donuts in the middle of the desert in an SUV with some buddies. I don't know exactly what that makes me, but what I can promise is that it's created an open mind, global worldview, and an understanding that all people, regardless of background want to be heard and understood.
