When I joined LeTip in March of 2020, I was only a member for a few short weeks before we all went into shutdown. With the chaos of having to pivot to online meetings, I knew I wanted to be on that call each week with people I enjoyed talking to so I simply invited as many of my small business owner friends to the group so we could all have a little fun together on Thursday mornings and in turn grow our business. Getting on the board was easy, someone simply asked me to serve. I am used to serving on other boards and I rather enjoy being in leadership, so serving as Secretary gave me the opportunity to get to know each member a little better. I also thrive in structure so being able to be a part of how our chapter was processing the change due to Covid was empowering.
The name of my company is Well Connected Chiropractic. That is VERY much by design. I have a unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and I love getting them “Well Connected” in every area of their life. So, because I am privy to the needs of some many different people, it’s natural that I would also have the ability to refer them to my vast network. It’s fun to connect people and watch them grow because of the introductions I have made.
From flowers to family therapy, dentists to drywall I have a referral and knowing that I play a small role in helping small business survive during Covid has been so rewarding.
One piece of advice I would give is: Don’t be afraid of someone telling you “NO”. You can ask anyone for anything as long as you are not afraid of the outcome not going the way you want. Graciously receive their refusal and move on. They might not need what you’re offering now but they may need it in the future.
One more thing! Have FUN! My intention each day is to have as much fun as possible and networking and growing my business is FUN!
