LeTip of Plano: Chapter of the Year and Still Climbing
Founded in 2018, LeTip of Plano is a standout Texas chapter with 16 dedicated members and proud winner of the LeTip Chapter of the Year award.
We caught up with Chapter President Al Hewitt to learn how they earned the honor. Years ago, Al visited a nearby Dallas chapter and noticed it wasn’t fully aligned with the LeTip system. Rather than walk away, he offered support and structure. When that chapter started to fall apart, a small group chose to rebuild instead of quitting. They committed to the core values of LeTip: structure, accountability, and community, and within a year, they became a fully chartered chapter.
Fast-forward: that same resilience, focus, and commitment led to award-winning success. Plano didn’t just survive—they thrived.
Their secret? Quality over quantity. They’re fun, structured, and serious about business, without taking themselves too seriously. Memes and money go hand in hand here. Several members have already passed $100K in tips this year.
They host quarterly social mixers to strengthen relationships, including bowling nights, wine pairings, and outdoor events with music and guests. Their goal: four events a year that build connections and drive growth.
Their board is strong, engaged, and runs a tight ship. Only high-integrity members serve, and conflicts of interest aren’t tolerated. They lead by example.
Power Partners? Absolutely. Their outdoor living pro, contractor, and roofer team up regularly, staying in their lanes and sharing referrals like pros.
The vision is clear: grow to 35 members and hit $1 million in tips annually. As Al put it best, “Every week, you’re training your own personal sales team. Where else can you do that for the cost of a LeTip membership? Only here.”
LeTip of Plano is proof that when you stick to what works – and lead with heart – success follows.
