Redundancy

Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Redundancy is the act of using a word, or a phrase, that repeats something and is therefore unnecessary. OK. Cross out one of those ‘Are you kidding me?’ phrases above. Max Berry, an Austrian humorist stated, ‘Last month we had to sit through a presentation on eliminating redundancy, and it was a bunch of Power Point slides, plus a guy reading out what was on the slides, and then he gave us all hard copies. I don’t understand these things.’ That is the very definition of redundancy.

In order to improve yourself in business, we have to eliminate redundancy. Nothing is more boring to an prospective client or for that matter, associates who hear it over and over again. Will Advise, a Bulgarian poet stated, ‘Having no applicable skills, in any possible area whatsoever, effectively makes me the master of redundancy.’

Thus the rub. If you talk just for the sake of talking, you blow any chances of moving ahead. To double down, is absolutely redundant and provides you double the chances of failure.

But there is a place to go that allows you a position of exclusivity within a group of peers that is not redundant. LeTip is the leading business networking organization. This exclusivity offered by LeTip allows you to be the sole representative within your business expertise. If you are a roofer, you will be the ONLY roofer in your chapter. If you are a chiropractor, you will be the sole chiropractor in your chapter. There is not redundancy in categories within LeTip.

Is that important? Yes. In a group whose sole purpose is to assist one another in developing business for each other by passing solid referrals to one another each and every week, this exclusivity is essential. So if Janet, who is a CPA and the only CPA in the group, has a client who needs roofing assistance, she will pass that lead to the roofer in the group. And that gives you a leg up on the competition.
