This global pandemic is affecting children’s education, and frustrating parents, across the United States and around the world. Melanie’s company, Reach for the Stars Tutoring, Inc., can help.

When New York schools closed, Melanie’s tutoring business plummeted 90%. With almost none of her teachers working, Melanie saw the opportunity to be proactive. She used the first two weeks of the shut-down to get her teachers professionally trained in providing online tutoring and education. Now they can truly support students across the US and around the globe! Melanie has worked tirelessly the last several weeks and has successfully gotten her business back to functioning at about 60%. She’s been in business for over 16 years and got her first ever international client a couple of weeks ago! Her goal is to come out of this pandemic poised to be stronger than ever!

Having been a member of the LeTip of Port Jefferson chapter for 15 years, Melanie knows the power of networking within her own chapter and across chapters. She wants families in all LeTip chapters to know that she can support their children and give parents some relief with homeschooling and distance learning. With as little as one hour per week, they can truly make a difference. She’s offering a $5 per hour discount to all LeTip members nationwide and in Canada.

Reach for the Stars Tutoring, Inc. has a staff of over 50 teachers. They support students of all ages from preschool through college and adult, in all subjects, for general and special education. They can help with school work, homework, study skills and test-taking strategies. They also offer preparation for Regents, SAT, ACT, GED, entrance exams, and a lot more. Never any contracts to sign, very reasonable rates, and they work around your schedule. One-on-one and group tutoring available. Not sure if they can help? Ask Melanie!

Regarding Melanie’s 15-year history with her LeTip of Port Jefferson chapter, she is honored and grateful to be serving as their President for the fourth time. She also served as Vice President three times, Program Director once, and Mentor for several years. She wears her Silver Badge proudly. She is even more proud of her many Top Tipper badges. She only wears a few because it looks silly when they go down to her belly button. Nothing gives her more pleasure than when she is able to say, “I’ve got a tip for you!” She loves connecting people, helping members to grow their businesses and seeing them succeed.
