About Dolores
Coming in with a wealth of expertise from my previous roles throughout Fashion and Retail, I've worked for many companies in various roles before starting my own business, Detour Boutiques, founded in June 2024!
I ended my time at Peloton in May 2024 as VP of Global Sales Operations & Enablement at Peloton, where I oversaw store openings, sales strategies, and compliance across various sales channels. I started when they had about 15 stores, and was responsible for opening the other 120+ they had at their height, and subsequently, handled the closures that began a few years ago.. If you visited a store in the US---I was one of the integral people who made it happen. If you bought a Bike in the COVID times, I was the one who developed a Work from Home plan with policies and agreements for the Retail team, and did it in 48 hours time---All of which wound up being utilized company wide. (A little note: In a world thats rough on us already--make sure you always clock your wins/accomplishments!)
Prior to that, I spent 7 years working for Fast Retailing--leaving as I had achieved Head of Retail Operations for Theory/Helmut Lang's Full Price and Outlet Divisions. In my time there, I started as an Assistant Manager and quickly moved through the ranks as a result of my (unrealized by me at this time) Operational talents. Theory combined my love of fashion and styling, with my educational background for business, and as I came to find out, my strength in operations which launched me on to my first real career path.
I say first because I believe in this life I will have a few---I'm focused on evolving one path into the next, which is basically just a way of saying that every 7 years I get bored and need to change it up.
I've moved into this next stage of Entrepreneurship feeling confident but still challenged---which is a nice place to be! Opening over 150+ total stores throughout my career meant I was more than prepared for opening one on my own. My path through various roles under the Operations title gave me analytical strengths, knowledge of P&Ls, Budgeting, Forecasting, Wholesale, Retail, Real estate, and Systems. My love of Fashion, and my urge to help women look and feel their best have made this my favorite career step so far.

Dolores Arico and Paige Mazarakis are two passionate fashion enthusiasts with over 15 years of experience in the Retail industry.
Dolores brings a wealth of expertise from her previous role as Senior Director of Global Sales Operations & Enablement at Peloton, where she managed store openings, sales strategies, and compliance across various sales channels. Her love for fashion and styling inspires our customers to explore new styles and embrace their individuality.
Paige has also made her mark in the fashion world, working with prestigious brands like Goop, Michael Kors, and Theory, as well as contributing to Boutique businesses in the Hamptons. Her experience in sales, visual merchandising, and event coordination allows her to create unique collections that resonate with our community, and host events that make shopping exciting and fun.
Dolores and Paige first crossed paths in 2012 while working together at Theory. They often joked about opening their own store, and in May 2024, that dream became a reality. The name "Detour" is a tribute to their journey—combining Dolores' nickname "Dee" and Paige's middle name "Torre”---because shopping is always a Detour.
