About Samuel
Remember Star Wars, and drive in theaters? I experienced both as kid in the 70’s. According to my parents I fled from Darth Vader in the mall shortly after. I don’t remember it, but I believe it. I was born, and raised in Denver, and have seen a lot of changes both good, and bad over the years.
As kid I started my faith journey. I began to experience the love of Jesus, and the power of prayer. The family was in a difficult situation, and I had a front row seat to one of those miracles you hear about from time to time, and it has been an amazing journey ever since.
Dad was an automotive painter. Helping him was a constant theme in my youth. I never learned body work, or painting, but the practice of removing various car parts abounded. Dad desired I would do something other than the automotive trade, since many folks get injured, or sick working in the field. So, I went to a business college (Barnes) to learn accounting. Sometimes finding a purpose, or passion in life is trying, and failing - Then getting back up. Accounting was not for me but I did learn to type there.
Turns out, I was like dad, he was always working on his vehicles, driving subpar vehicles, or clunkers as some might call them. I ended up with a delivery job bringing people pizza. It was a fun job, and good for the season it was in. However, using a vehicle for deliveries is very hard on them. I started doing more repairs on my own stuff then ever, and helped a few other drivers along the way.
Inspiration then struck - since I am doing this, I could get paid for it. Denver Automotive and Diesel college was my next step, gaining the technical, plus theory, adding to the hands on experience. I discovered both are needed. I graduated with honors in the middle of the nineties, so I am fast approaching thirty years of automotive experience. Wow! Although, at times it feels like one year experience thirty times.
Corporate, and independent shops was my experience. At the end of 2020 working the hardest I ever had, earning the most money ever, but feeling totally miserable, it was a time for a change, but in a good way. I felt it was time to start the business. I called my tax professional asking about starting a business. With a brief conversation – Jarvis Enterprises Inc was created. Starting with mobile auto care, but, with a vision beyond that. It was a walk off faith, and I would encourage you to take that step of faith when called as well.
In 2022 I was at a prayer meeting with a friend, who’s friend just happened to be a Letip member. I was invited, and joined the Arapahoe county chapter in May. It has been a joy serving folks and learning the rhythm of Letip. Fast forward to 2024, and I felt that call of faith again. This time a new chapter was about a year old in Lakewood. The call to make that step of faith came again. I look forward to what is ahead.
