Hi, I grew up in Asia and Europe and graduated high school in Lakenheath, England. My dad was a pilot in the USAF. I moved to America to attend the University of Missouri. After two of those Missouri winters, I was done and drove to California to meet my biological dad. I decided to stay in San Diego and at 21 built a window cleaning company to support me getting back to college. I sold it and was offered a sales management job at a new cell phone brand entering the American Market, Audiovox. After becoming the top-selling sales manager in San Diego (9 locations) I broke off and sold cell phones and had a Mobil crew for the installs. It was a fun business. Two of my better cell phone customers were lawyers. I had an opportunity to open a court reporting firm and my first customers where the two law firms that I had sold cell phones earlier. My court reporting firm hit one million in sales in my second year of business. After 19 years I saw changes occurring and I sold to one of the companies that were making the changes. I opened a language translation business and after getting it to a million in sales I gave it to my ex-wife. I had fun coaching for business but also missed having a conventional business with staff, so I restarted a window cleaning service. There is something about window cleaning that makes me happy. Michel Malécot is the Chef, Owner, Founder, and President of The French Gourmet, Inc. He graduated from the cooking school of St Amand-Montrond and received certification for dining room service while in Tour, France in 1970.
