About Rainier
I'm a third generation immigrant. I'm the grandson of a Filipino farmer with an American dream. He saw the Navy ship pull up to the island of Cebu and he saw his opportunity (not guarantee) for a better life. He enlisted in the Navy, served 20 years in the service, and during that time he brought over my grandma. My mom was the first one born on American soil and I am her son.
Like many others, I had a humble beginning. My dad was a gardener and I started mowing lawns with him at 13. My first job was a janitor at my high school around 15 or 16. Later I was a grocery clerk at Smart & Final, then an Office Admin role at my local church, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
After getting married at the age of 22 I realized I needed an adult job so I could keep some of those promises I made to my beautiful bride. At the age of 25 we had our first daughter and now, here I am 34, with four kids and my wife homeschools our children. During that time I became a Technical Recruiter, later worked in Financial Services, later a Financial Advisor Recruiter and now in Business Development.
