I've had the privilege of working in the financial industry, in various positions, for more than 40 years. Over the last 25 years, I served as the COO and then CEO of Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union and the CEO of Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union. Additionally, I was chairman of four subsidiary companies that offered data processing, investment, payment processing and risk management services to credit unions all over the United States. In 2018, my wife and I purchased the Huntington Learning Center, In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and that purchase was facilitated by Murphy Business in Greater Harrisburg. Throughout my career I have experienced business from many perspectives. I have worked in my family’s business, provided strategic consulting and customer service to businesses, and provided lines of credit and commercial loans to businesses. My private life and professional career have been an eclectic educational and vocational background that included radio broadcasting; electrical engineering; technical sales; business, sales and operations management; marketing; real estate development; consulting; entrepreneurship; insurance sales; residential and commercial mortgage broker; wine sales; winery management, college level instructor; wine educator. My wine involvement began in early 1971 with my first exposure to wine. That quickly morphed into every aspect of wine, from winemaking to researching everything about wine and grapes. Along the way, I was the Marketing Director for a boutique Pennsylvania winery, earned a degree in Enology & Viticulture, worked as a Wine Specialist for nearly 6 years, was very involved in the wine community as President of the PA Wine Society, taught online Winery Business Development courses at Penn State University and, finally, my present station in life where I am involved in D-T-C (Direct to Consumer) wine sales.
