I was in the recruiting field for 30 years and the skill I developed over all others, was helping candidates at all levels become better interviewers. Setting up thousands of interviews along with the follow-up conversations with candidates and managers provided fantastic insight into everyone’s thinking. The clarity on how to apply this knowledge came from the hiring I was doing for my own (I owned the company). How to teach these as teachable skills came from many years as a youth leader in Cub / Boys Scouts and Ice Hockey and Soccer coaching.

John R. Holst joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2006 as a Financial Advisor. After graduating New York Institute of Technology in Westbury with a BS in Electrical Engineering, John spent eighteen years in the technology industry, first designing communications equipment for the military and LIRR and MTA transit systems and then as a manufacturer’s representative for several leading semiconductor manufacturers. In addition to his Wealth Management role, John also serves as Senior Resident Director in the Broadhollow (Melville) office where he provides supervisory oversight. In 2019 he and his operational partner, Beth Ann Graf, teamed with Matthew Kelley to form the Holst Kelley Wealth Management Group. John employs his problem-solving skills along with the full spectrum of Merrill and Bank of America tools to help clients develop in-depth retirement and investment strategies. As an avid sailor, he appreciates what it takes to chart a course and navigate it successfully and understands that skill-mastery only comes through challenging oneself and then applying the lessons learned. Since joining Merrill, John has continually expanded his knowledge base. He strives to ensure he is providing his clients with access to the highest possible level of guidance. Most recently, in 2020 he undertook the challenging process to become a Certified Personal Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) professional. John is an experienced sailor and amateur astronomer, cyclist and coastal rower. You will find John enjoying his free time exploring the Great South Bay of Long Island with his wife, two sons, and friends.

Steve Lefkowitz is the owner of Oak Neck Cleaners, a 40+ year dry cleaning establishment located in West Islip NY. Oak Neck Cleaners provides dry cleaning for all types of clothing; formal and informal, from down jackets to pajamas to household items (e.g. sheets, drapery and upholstery items). Additionally we provide tailoring services that brings people from out of area due to our expertise. We also do wash & fold, leather cleaning, wedding dress cleaning and preservation, sneaker/Ugg cleaning and in-home furniture/carpet/blind and drape cleaning. When Steve is not helping people look the best they can in cleanly pressed clothing, he enjoys, skiing, live music and enjoying time with friends and family.
