In today’s networking world, we must strive to create an ambiance of immense positivity and engagement within our perspective groups. Group members should look forward to attending the meetings, as a means of escaping the negative gloom and doom portrayed by the media and plugging themselves into 90 minutes of positivity.
We must realize that as we invite guests to attend the meetings, that we are competing for that new member with other networking groups, chambers, and organizations. There must be a strong differentiation present, that our guests will immediately notice, creating an impactful first impression, that intrigue to visit again, and an encouragement to pursue an application for membership.
For all this to happen, a change must be provoked, as we cannot wish these results into existence. Change is uncomfortable, change is painful, but make no mistake about it, change is necessary. For us to see a change, we have to be the change and take action steps toward making these changes come to life and become a reality.
