Ah, Vegas! This resort destination is known for its gambling, entertainment, nightlife, fine dining, and shopping. Here in the LeTip of Las Vegas chapter, we find Dave Padgett with D&R House of Diamonds. Dave has been a member of LeTip since 2011 and is currently the Tip Master of his chapter.
He proudly shares that for more than 45 years, he has created a name for himself in the luxury jewelry industry. In 2013 Dave, along with Rich Shaw, founded D&R House of diamonds LLC.
Since opening, D&R has been recognized as one of the Top Jewelers in Las Vegas.
Dave is a GIA Diamond Graduate, DCA Diamond Graduate and an AGS Certified Sales Associate. Dave has attended and completed many Lab training courses, given by the Gemological Institute of America, American Gem Society, and American Society of Appraisers, keeping his skills/knowledge current.
We asked Dave how LeTip has helped him in his business:
“LeTip has allowed me to grow my network and relationships of other likeminded business professionals.
Listening to other members I have learned to see new perspectives on my own business.
My referrals/relationships have grown exponentially over my 10 years in the chapter.
My chapter has truly turned into a family.”
We asked him what makes him stand out as a LeTip member. It is very clear that Dave volunteers of his time:
“I immediately got involved as a board member – First as Vice President, and later serving the chapter as President. I have continued to stay involved as Tip Master, Round Table Coordinator and assisting with audiovisual at meetings. I enjoy being a substitute when needed at meetings.”
We asked Dave what he likes best about LeTip:
“I have always liked the structure and consistency of LeTip. Members know what to expect and know that engagement is key to giving referrals as well as receiving. I really enjoy giving my weekly 30 second commercial and keeping it fresh, fun and unique. Showboating gives you an opportunity to really give a visual to your business.”
Lastly, we asked him what advice he has for new members:
“You get out of LeTip what you put into it. Give it time. Every great success usually takes time to grow. Your chapter needs to get to know you, like you and trust you. That takes time and engagement on your part. Take advantage of your opportunity to be visible and get noticed. Greeting, Showboating, Speaking, arrive early to network and stay late afterwards when you can. Stay top of mind in your chapter members’ eyes!”
Dave will celebrate his 43rd anniversary this year with his wife, Marsha. They have two adult children, Brenn & Rory, and 4 very special grandchildren.
