LeTip of Hauppauge Gives Back

Dec 7, 2020 | Articles, Chapter News

I wanted to share with you this story of kindness and goodwill that LeTip of Hauppauge represents to make a difference whenever we can. In the past we have participated in many charitable ways such as the Wounded Worriers, The Beacon house, Coat Drives, Sole for Soles, Rotary, Camp Pa Qua Tuck, Feed the Hungry food packaging just to name a few. With the challenges we all faced this year, I felt it important to share our goodwill story with our other fellow LeTip Members. I would like for LeTip of Hauppauge to head a committee that would include other Chapters to participate in 2021 Samaritan’s Purse.
Giving Back should be year round. Though during the Holiday’s we think a little more and dig deeper in our pockets to bring joy and happiness. I don’t normally post the things I do to make a difference, so please take a moment this time to read: it’s not about me. A few weeks ago I came in contact with a lovey woman and her 5 year old Daughter buying every Yo-Yo in the Dollar Store. At first I thought it was for the daughter’s birthday party, but instead I was introduced to a wonderful way to make children happy around the world during Christmas: with a simple shoe box filled with toys, crayons, pencils, books, a hair brush, ect. Little things like this that make a world of difference. The Charity is called Samaritan’s Purse / This Christmas Child! (www.samaritanspurse.org) As President of LeTip of Hauppauge, I took this opportunity to share this beautiful encounter of a mother and daughter with my Hauppauge Chapter, whereas you can see so many little lives will be touched this year by LeTip of Hauppauge’s generosity with sincere happiness and hope these shoe boxes will provide.
LeTip of Hauppauge’s boxes were delivered to the Selden F.D by Kenny Rubinetti, a life long member of the Fire Department and an Area Rep for LeTip International. From there, they traveled to a parish in Patchogue where these precious gifts will be shipped to the arms of many children around the world – just in time for Christmas. I truly believe that this beautiful mother and child I met that day was put in my path to allow her kindness and sincere goodness touch not only my heart, but of all those that gave, and those children that will receive a Christmas Miracle.
A REAL ANGEL ON EARTH. GOD BLESS BEST WISHES THAT EVERYONE HAS A BLESSED HOLIDAY SEASON.
