During tough times it’s important to pay it forward and support one another. We wanted to share a story from LeTip of Plano, TX as their weekly meeting had some unique twists.
Like always, there was networking before the meeting but this week, it was virtually. All members logged in to Zoom for their weekly meeting as the chapter is taking precautions for the COVID 19. They wanted to make sure they check in and support one another during these times. Sean Sarel, Printer from Print City, was this week’s Showboater and showed chapter members some of the tools he uses for different types of orders.
Chapter member, Luis Mondragon, joined the Zoom meeting from the Hospital celebrating the birth of his new baby. Darin Dodd, Roofing Contractor, joined the meeting while on his way to a job site but was sure to give his presentation and check in with the chapter.
LeTip of Plano, TX cancelled their Networking Mixer and used the budget to donate some meals from their weekly meeting place, The Original Pancake House, to The Samaritan Inn, a local homeless shelter. The restaurant matched the good deed and donated additional meals to the Samaritan inn. Let’s remember that small businesses are the heart of our communities. This is a vital time for social distancing and taking precautions, but these times are temporary, and we will come out stronger than ever before.
