I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and attended college at the University of Central Missouri. My first job out of college required me to move to Chicago selling audiological testing lab services to industries with high noise exposure. After a few years, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1987 to work with my brother in the mortgage banking industry. It was not for me.
Throughout my career, I worked for many interesting companies in various industries, from dotcom start-ups in Silicon Valley to Microsoft. About nine years ago, my entrepreneurial spirit arose, and I went to work for myself. I became a publisher of two community magazines and also started a digital marketing agency to help small and medium businesses grow their business. I reside in the beautiful Napa Valley in California with my partner, Laura and our rescues, KayCee the cat and Honey the dog.
I joined LeTip in 2019 and it has been instrumental to growing my business. Not only that, but I love the camaraderie and the friendships I’ve made.
During the Covid epidemic, we held Zoom meetings. We decided to do a Zoom Business Mixer during the holidays. I love to karaoke, so we broke out in a group sing and sang holiday songs. It was hilarious and is still talked about today!
Joining LeTip was the best thing for me and my business. I am eternally grateful to LeTip and my chapter. I have served as Vice-President and currently hold a Silver Badge as I have sponsored about two new members per year since I joined.
