It seems inevitable that I would be drawn to LeTip of Lower Bucks County, PA. I value input from other business professionals, I appreciate different perspectives, and I like having a network to reach out to for help or insights. I don’t particularly appreciate using cliches, but this LeTip group is an awesome (there, I said it) mix of younger and more experienced professionals. The dynamic works incredibly well as we each bring different insights to the table. The group embodies the ideals of LeTip: a group of professionals committed to excellence. We do that by helping one another, showing up for one another, and supporting one another with ideas and business tips.
No one has been untouched by the events of 2020. I think LeTip has been an essential contact for all the members of our chapter. Remarkably, not only have we sustained our membership, but we have managed to add new members and grow during these difficult times. I put that down to the collective spirit of the group. We want everyone to succeed.
I joined LeTip in the summer of 2017. For two years I served as our chapter’s Tip Master. I have been the President of our chapter since spring of 2020. My business is based in Newtown, PA, and I am a huge believer in giving back to the community. I serve as the Newtown Township Economic Committee’s co-chair, which gives me tremendous insight into how the town can positively impact residents’ and businesses’ lives. I believe anything is possible, and you can achieve anything you want with the right focus and effort. I think that holds in all aspects of life.
I have spent the last five years constantly working on and developing my business. Weed Man has been in the business of providing lawn care for over fifty years. I have arguably seen the company from every level, starting at an entry-level position as a neighborhood canvasser to owning my franchise with stops in between as a technician, sales and marketing representative, and manager. I pass along my experience as a technician, sales and marketing representative, and management to my employees daily.
If I have learned anything over the years, it is that not much worth having comes easily. My advice to people starting out is to be persistent and resilient. It also helps to have a curiosity about the world around you and the confidence that you matter. To me, that is an unbeatable combination for success.
