LeTip of Hackensack: Helping the Hungry in Need
Though these past few weeks have brought uncertainty, LeTip of Hackensack has used this time to give back to their community while also continuing their weekly networking with their chapter. The chapter teamed up with their chapter member John Iachetti, Restaurant Casual Dining Category, to donate meals.
John’s restaurant, Iachetti’s Kitchen, prepared these meals that have been delivered to multiple hospitals, police squads and OASIS Foundation. The mission of the OASIS Foundation is to change the lives of women and children by breaking the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, educate, and empower women and children in need.
Throughout our time handling COVID-19, the foundation is graciously providing grab and go meals to the community. LeTip of Hackensack Past President, Sheldon Neal, stopped at OASIS on behalf of his chapter to donate 120 meals from Iachetti’s Kitchen. “One hundred and twenty meals is a small part, we know that, but it is a part”, said M Neal. “No matter how small you think your contribution is, it could help feed someone. ”
