Arrive early, especially before the guests. Think about it, how many times do, you arrive earlier than expected for a business appointment. Treat your LeTip members with the same courtesy.
Guests are not coming to a party. They are coming to business meeting. They’ll usually arrive early knowing this is a business event. Late is not fashionable in business.
How do you feel when you invite a guest and your guest walks into a near empty room, well your fellow members may be thinking the same thing and be discouraged even to invite someone.
Be at your chapter at least 30 minutes before the pledge. This is a great time to get to know the members and the guests. Converse and get to know everyone. Don’t ever let a guest stand alone. Embrace their presence. You never know who they know. Imagine if that guest had the biggest deal of your life just waiting for you, would you say hello, then?
Don’t rush out the door just after the meeting ends. Plan your day accordingly so you can network a bit after the meeting. Again, you never know what ideas come up once the members have had time to see you face to face.
