We would like to take a moment to honor all the veterans we have in our LeTip family. Let us remember their service and bravery and celebrate our nation’s heroes.
We recently spoke with David Agtsteribbe, one of the newest members in the LeTip of NoFo, New York chapter. David is a proud veteran and a person who gives back to his community.
David, thank you for serving our country. Please share a bit about your service and the work you do with the Veteran community.
“I am a US Army Combat wounded Veteran, twice awarded the Purple Heart. I am the Finance Officer for my local American Legion, a member of my local VFW, and a member of the Military Order of Purple Heart chapter for Long Island. I was also awarded NY State’s highest medals, the Conspicuous Service Star, the Conspicuous Service Cross and the Conspicuous Service Medal, this year by the governor of the state of New York. Every ounce of free time I have, every penny I make, goes towards supporting the numerous Veteran charities I am involved in.
My most recent Veteran related event I was involved in, was to get a 9 passenger, 3 wheelchair- abled bus donated to the American Legion. We completely self-fund every aspect of this vehicle, including the volunteer drivers and attendants we have. We make this vehicle available to every Veterans organization here on Long Island to transport Vets and their families. We have plans on adding two more vehicles.”
You have recently become a member of LeTip – What has been your experience with LeTip so far?
“In the short time] I have been in LeTip of NoFo, I feel like I have found a family, and I am in a great position to grow my business. It’s great to be in a group with likeminded business people, who all share a goal – growing their businesses and giving back to their communities. It’s nice to be on a team with such a singular vision. As for networking, I truly enjoy meeting new people and learning about their business.”

“I am the President of Epic Payment Solutions. We provide Credit Card Processing, POS Systems, ATM machines and Merchant Loans. I do everything differently than my competitors in my industry. We believe in integrity and doing what we say we will do. I value every relationship I build with my merchants, and we interact with them regularly. I have a $500 guarantee. If I cannot DRASTICALLY lower a merchants processing fees, I hand them $500 cash. In 7 years, I have only had to do that twice. Unlike my competitors, I like to educate my merchants on how their processing works. I am proud of myself when I can save a merchant a lot of money.”
Thanks to the service of David and countless other American heroes, we are “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” We are thanking and celebrating these brave Americans with our #VetDayPledge, for more information on how you and your chapter can join in, be sure to read more about it here.
