Definition of a Tip:

A qualified business tip is a company or person who is interested in a specific service or product and is expecting a call from a LeTip member.

Tip Statuses:

Listed below are the various types of statuses for individual tips.

Status – New:

A new tip is one that you have just received. Generally, a new tip is still pending action by the receiving member.

Status – Working:

A working tip is one that you have received and is currently being worked on. This status lets the tipper know contact was made and action has taken place.

Status – Closed:

A closed tip means the opportunity is done, and the tip is no longer active. This is because the tip was either sold or did not work out.

Status – Invalid:

A tip can be marked for several specific scenarios. One would be is that contact was never made. This will subtract the Tip from their Tip totals. This is to be used for a Social Media Tip, if contact is never made, and not considered a bad Tip. If, however, an Outside Tip does not respond, the board will take note of the Invalid status.

Status – Bogus:

When a tip is repeatedly entered and marked as invalid, it becomes a bogus tip, and the Tip will also be deducted from the member’s Tip totals. Bogus tips will be discussed at the following board meeting.
